Every player wants to get better, and they seem to spend countless hours working on their game. However, not every player gets the results they want. Why is that? Why don’t players get the results they want from the time they put in?
Here are some questions to consider:
How are players using their time?
How are players working on their game?
What I’ve noticed is that players seem to be working on things that make them somewhat better in one area but not that much better overall. It might seem like they are improving, but they could be improving so much more.
So, what is the best process? What process considers all factors and all areas of the game? What process also factors in long-term results?
I believe the right process is putting in work on the right stuff and completely avoiding the wrong stuff.
I think a player's performance is all about their process. I believe that only the best process will get the best results and that if the process is off, the results will be too.
I don’t think all work is good work. I don’t think it’s about putting in more time than other players. I don’t think players will reach their potential unless they work on their game the right way with the right process.
If you have any questions about your process or how to improve it, please let me know.
Thanks,
Rob
